The Watson Neuroscience Foundation would like to extend our congratulations to the organizers and participants of the 7th annual RIDEYELLOW Charity Bike Ride.
Founded in 2007 by Ann White-Spunner and Mary Trufant to raise awareness of cancer and to draft grassroots support for their mission of inspiring and empowering people affected by cancer.
Since its inception, RIDEYELLOW has donated over $300,000 to various cancer charities. In 2012 the combined efforts of 750 riders and 225 volunteers raised $70,000 which was donated to Camp Rap-A-Hope, USS Hope, Livestrong, Camp Odyssey and Covenant Hospice.
The 2013, 7th annual charity bike ride took place on June 15th in Bay Minette, Alabama, with hundreds of riders participating, including our very own Julie Klaxton.
The event featured four routes that cyclists could choose from, suiting their individual skill levels, including a six-mile tribute ride; a 10-mile flat course; a 37-mile moderately hilly course; and a 62-mile ride for experience riders.
The Watson Neuroscience Foundation would like to extend our congratulations to all the riders, volunteers and organizers that made this wonderful charity event possible.
